This is just for me to vent.

I hate Halloween. It was fun before I graduated high school, because my friends and I always did something fun, even if it was trick-or-treating when we were 17, or just going to a small party. Now that I am in my fifth year of college, and the parties mostly involve idiots getting hammered, its not so much fun.

Actually, I hate all that Halloween stands for. I hate the demonic costumes, and the focus so many have on evil.

It is the most stupid holiday, and I will be very happy when it ends, and the real holiday season can begin! I like the real holidays, that actually have a purpose!

Yeah, it has been a while since I put a journal from me on here! I have been busy with summer classes, but now two are done and I have one left that goes until Aug 4th. I will continue to be pretty busy, as I have to start studying for the MCAT exam that I will take at the end of August so I can get into medical school next fall (2007)! I am pretty excited about finally deciding to do something I have always wanted to do! I absolutely love medicine, and especially helping people, so being a doctor is right up my alley! Now I just need to concentrate on physics, general chemistry, and organic chemistry, and I will be all set! I am not sure yet if I would like to specialize in any particular area of medicine, or if I would like to be a general practitioner. I am leaning toward ob/gyn though, because there needs to me more women in that field, and I love babies! I have also thought about specializing in neurology, as I love the brain, because it is absolutely fascinating! I guess thats the psychology in me XD! I will still be getting my B.S. in psychology next spring, so that hasnt changed! Well I must go! Thank you to all who watch me, and hopefully I can get some photos up soon. I have some great ones from my 1 yr anniversary vacation to Chicago! Love you all!

Tiny Frogs

Fri May 19, 2006, 8:46 PM
I stole this from my friend

Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition.

The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower.

A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants....

The race began....

Honestly,no one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.

You heard statements such as:

"Oh, WAY too difficult!!"

"They will NEVER make it to the top."

or:

"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one....

Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher....

The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up....

But ONE continued higher and higher and higher....

This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?

It turned out....

That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:

Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic.... because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart!

Always think of the power words have.

Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!

Therefore:

ALWAYS be....

POSITIVE!

And above all:

Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams!

Always think:

God and I can do this!

Pass this message on to 5 "tiny frogs" you care about.
